The Way we Live Now, by Junius

Adam speaks: Glory to God I am King of Creation. My lips shape the clay of things. There are birds and clouds and leaves. My hands make my bread and move the oceans; my body makes Woman.

Caliban replies: I do not like my face in this glass. It is too
soot-smeared and shattered. My eyes cover all things in their skin. It
crawls. Yes, there are rivers, there is erosion. There are stars. I do not
want to be steward even of stars.   I will rage at the dusk. I will vomit
on the glass and sleep.
